The architectural review Materia is born in 1989 for initiative of
GranitiFiandre S.p.a
with the aim to pursue the interaction between the culture of
industrial production and the complex world of the cultural production through the
analysis of the processes of training, design and architectural construction.
Nowadays Materia is distributed in more than 45.000 copies all over the world and
has been completely renewed from number 31 on.
Beginning from this number the review has become four monthly and every issue
faces a different topic, through the presentation of international Projects,
Essays and the study of the relative Standards.
The evolution of the world and the canon of international Architecture are
core of deepening in the Panorama section.
The Editorial of Arch Paolo Portoghesi and a detailed deepening on Technical
matters, condition of art of the technologies and the materials currently
in use supplemented every issue.
